This is a downtown apartment. You will likely see and hear downtown people traffic. It is a vibrant town with lots of restaurants. There are stairs. This is a two story apartment. The main entrance behind the building has two flights of stairs, and the front entrance to downtown has one flight. No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are beyond our control. Pets are not allowed. You will be charged $500 if you bring a pet.

Drew and Sarah's Hallowell apartment is truly remarkable. Absolutely perfect for exploring the charming town, enjoying many restaurants, shops, and events or just lounging around in a great apartment. The coffee/tea/snacks they left for us were awesome and the various popcorn flavors were a special treat. So many lovely details to this place, from furniture to appliances to decorations (and THANK YOU for leaving a beautiful Christmas tree up! Cozy, romantic, and festive--we loved it.) The location is ideal, both for Hallowell and the surrounding Augusta area. Could not get any better than this.

Perfect AirBNB for Hallowell, ME! Drew & Sarah's place was absolutely perfect for us. The location is right in downtown, could easily walk to restaurants, coffee, shops, etc. Also - being right on the water was amazing - watching bald eagles flying around and landing in the area. For us it had plenty of space. Having multiple zones also was terrific - different spaces for people to hang out / relax. But - what made this BnB truly special were Drew & Sarah. They were responsive, they were accommodating, they were the perfect hosts. We were there during Christmas, and they had the house decorated (holiday pillows, a Christmas tree). They knew of our arrival time and worked to try and help us get checked in early on the day of arrival. They knew we had to host some family for a meal, and went out of their way to clear some snow early enough to allow our guests safe entry. I don't have enough characters in this review to really express how great of an experience they gave us!

Drew and Sarah’s place was extremely clean. They had little snacks left for us . It has a little fridge upstairs so once you’re settled up there you don’t need to go back down . One of the best places we have ever stayed at .

I loved the apartment from the moment I walked in. It’s elegant and cozy, with wonderful attention to detail. The furnishings are extremely comfortable, and the kitchen is one of the most thoughtfully stocked spaces I have seen. The fireplace kept everything bright and warm. Being there in November meant I didn’t spend much time out on the wooden decks, but the river view is beautiful from inside too, and sunrise over the water is gorgeous. The setting is great in other ways as well – there are two excellent bakeries and at least 5 great restaurants within a couple of blocks. Hallowell is a pleasant place to walk, including on the river rail trail that extends in both directions. I went there to do some writing. I found quiet space, excellent lighting, and great chairs and worktops. There’s also interesting life in the street that you can enjoy from the front bay window, sitting with a cup of coffee or tea. Drew and Sarah were superb hosts, exceptionally attentive and responsive.

This was my second stay at Drew and Sarah’s house and it was just as wonderful as the first. The apartment is spotless, beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect, close to restaurants, unique shops and several walking/cycling trails, yet quiet and relaxing. Drew and Sarah are such thoughtful and responsive hosts. Communication was easy and check-in/check-out were seamless. I can’t recommend this place enough and hope to be back again. It truly is our favorite Airbnb. Thank you for another wonderful experience!

Drew and Sarah’s place was perfect!! The house was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed the snacks, popcorn, coffee, and tea. So many cute places to eat…we had the Quarry Rap Room three times.

Perfect location for us in downtown Hallowell. Traveling with two teenagers and they were stoked on finding an abundance of popcorn to snack on. I really appreciated that there were multiple phone charges set up in the house. I'm always losing mine when we travel so just a really nice perk to not even have to take it out of the suitcase. Loved the downstairs fireplace, very cozy. Overall just a really nice thoughtful space. Thanks for the stay!

Hallowell's downtown and historic district are walkable, with both on and off street parking available. Centrally located, both Augusta and Gardiner are a few minutes drive North to South. Within walking distance (.7 miles) of the downtown are the Vaughan Woods. This non-profit nature preserve features waterfalls, stone bridges, and miles of hiking trails.
