They are known for a lively arts and music scene, as well as several well loved restaurants along Water St. Hallowell sits on the banks of the tidal Kennebec River, which provides picturesque viewing of bald eagles and leaping sturgeon.

bsolutely lovely and charming apartment! It was just two of us so we had tons of space to spread out. Two floors, two full baths, kitchen had all necessary amenities, the bed was super comfy, and it has beautiful/peaceful “backyard” views of the river. The apartment is right on “main street” so it could not have been more convenient to walk to restaurants and bars. But it’s also very quiet at night, despite the activity outside. Great bartenders at Easy Street and Quarry Tap. And, Sarah and Drew are fantastic hosts. On our first day we couldn’t figure out the thermostat and when we messaged Sarah she came over right away to take care of it. Overall 10/10 and would highly recommend!

Drew & Sarah’s place was stunning. It was the perfect space for our short get away to Maine. Hollowell was a cute town & we enjoyed every bit of our stay!

Absolutely beautiful place! Looks exactly like the pictures!! It was so cozy and welcoming too! Lots of restaurants we could walk to as well! Would definitely stay here again! Super nice hosts and reply really quickly! They went above and beyond as far as things you might need! We didn’t have to bring anything!!

We stayed at Drew and Sarah's place for the weekend. The apt was extremely nice with two floors, very clean, and like new. The location is also key as close to restaurants, bars, and the river. Definitely recommend this spot!!

This apartment exceeded all expectations! It’s beautifully appointed, with stylish furnishings and thoughtful touches throughout. The two-story layout offers so much space—it felt more like a private home than a rental. The river view is stunning and created the perfect backdrop for relaxing mornings and peaceful evenings.
The location couldn’t be better—right in town and within easy walking distance to great restaurants, cafes, and shops. It made exploring the area so convenient and enjoyable.
The hosts were outstanding—responsive, friendly, and proactive with their communication. They also went above and beyond by providing abundant supplies, which made everything feel easy and welcoming from the moment we arrived.
We truly didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for comfort, style, and an unbeatable location!

A lovely, welcoming place that made us (a family of 4) feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Literally everything you may need was there - and even more. The town and community were so nice and welcoming as well. The pizza from next door was very good (we ordered for take out because Sarah and Drew's place is so comfortable) and the French patisserie is tres bon! It opens at 8am, and it is worth getting up early on days they are open (other days are baking days.) The antique shop across the street is perfect for gifts, home decor, and finding treasures. Back to the apartment: a perfect location in a lovely town, where you will have most everything you may need. I heard (from one of their kind, neighborhood shop owners) that it books very quickly, so if you are considering - and your dates needed are available, book it.

This spot was very cozy and my favorite part was the movie theatre area! Very private and I felt right at home. It is nearby to several charming restaurants and shops and short drive away to Portland and many parks!

Drew and Sarah were incredibly thoughtful hosts, and their riverside apartment was beautifully appointed, clean, and super comfortable. One of my friends—who usually only stays at hotels—was pleasantly surprised by the amenities and overall experience. We’re already looking forward to returning!

The listing was 100% as advertised. Additionally, the apartment was very clean and had everything we would expect and more. We traveled as a group of 5 and the spare folding bed was perfect and comfortable. The area felt incredibly safe and provided a great opportunity to just relax and spend some time away. I would absolutely stay again if traveling to Maine in the future!

Drew and Sarah are incredible hosts; hospitable and friendly.
Their place was cozy, well-stocked and had the perfect layout for spending time with family and friends. We will definitely stay here again.

Hallowell's downtown and historic district are walkable, with both on and off street parking available. Centrally located, both Augusta and Gardiner are a few minutes drive North to South.
Within walking distance (.7 miles) of the downtown are the Vaughan Woods. This non-profit nature preserve features waterfalls, stone bridges, and miles of hiking trails.
